
Maxie J. Morgan joined the firm in 2009 as an associate attorney after moving to Nebraska from Oregon, where she was born and raised. She received her Honors B.A. in 2002, graduating summa cum laude from Oregon State University. In 2007, Ms. Morgan completed her juris doctorate at Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, where she earned an Intellectual Property Law Specialization Certificate with distinction. She joined the State Bar of California in 2007, the Nebraska State Bar Association in 2008 and the Scotts Bluff County Bar Association in 2009.
As an undergraduate and as a law student, Ms. Morgan was awarded a Ford Family Foundation Scholarship. While in law school, she received the Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction Excellence for the Future Award in both Writing and Research I and Intellectual Property Law Litigation. Ms. Morgan was a member of the Intellectual Property Law Association and the International Law Society. In addition, she participated in the Family Law Clinic and was a Street Law instructor for inner-city youth. Ms. Morgan currently serves on the Board of Directors for NEXT Young Professionals, the Panhandle Humane Society and CAPstone Child Advocacy Center.
Ms. Morgan and her husband are proud owners of an English Springer Spaniel and an Irish Red and White Setter. Beyond her career, she enjoys downhill and nordic skiing, mountain biking, hiking, camping, reading, movies, college football and creating bead jewelry.
